IT Specialist Conventions with expert support by Olesiński & Wspólnicy

IT w Administracji (IT in Administration) monthly magazine organises yet another series of IT Specialist Conventions that as of February this year will be held in 8 Polish provinces. In this year’s series, Olesiński Law Firm experts from our offices in Wrocław, Cracow and Warsaw will present the issues relating to copyright, personal data, and electronic provision of services from a practical perspective.

   

The purpose of this project is to integrate local IT specialists working for various public administration institutions.
The first Convention will be held on 6-7 February 2012 in Łopuszna near Nowy Targ.

As for professional content, the participants will attend lectures and take part in discussions relating to important and interesting topics, including the following:
• effective use of ePUAP (Electronic Platform of Public Administration Services)
• broadband networks in the region
• efficient IT resource management in a public institution
• information security management
• savings in a public institution vs. IT – examples of good practices and implementations
• making electronic services available to citizens.

Representatives of the following institutions have announced their participation in the event: Ministry of Economy, Office of Electronic Communications, Inspector General for the Protection of Personal Data, Małopolska Institute of Culture, Borzęcin Commune Office, Municipal Office in Tarnów, Municipal Office in Wrocław. The Convention has already obtained the patronage of the Association of Małopolska Communes, Municipalities and Districts, and of the Administrator of Nowy Targ Commune.
During the event, Ewa Kamińska, Trainee Attorney of our Law Firm’s office in Cracow will make a presentation entitled “Key Issues Relating to Software Licensing,” while Michał Kluska, Trainee Attorney of the Law Firm’s office in Wrocław will discuss the legal aspects of using cloud computing in public administration.
